My name is Cristian Mendez, I'm a tattoo artist currently based in Ukiah, California — a small town nestled in the heart of the redwoods. I specialize in black and grey tattoos, focusing on a custom illustrative-realism style. My love for art began at a young age, with graphite and ballpoint pen being my mediums of choice. At 24, I landed an apprenticeship at a local street shop, marking the beginning of my tattoo journey and deepening my understanding of both the craft and its rich history.
One of the most rewarding aspects of tattooing for me is taking an idea and transforming it into something unique that my clients can wear proudly for the rest of their lives. I enjoy the creative freedom to design pieces that flow and contour with the body, using my artistic experience to make each design a personal and meaningful work of art.
